You can say that, if you are comparing an Econowave system to a three way.
The Econo-compatible woofer must be able to produce some mid-range frequencies well, i.e., with low distortion, and the EWave driver and waveguide will take the top half of the mid-range on up to the very high frequencies. Some three way system woofers can only produce bass well, that's all they were designed to do. So you need a true "mid-woofer."

I'm planning a speaker build this summer, God Willing-
I like horns, I admit it.
I'm kinda wired to the fact that a speaker performs better when it doesn't have to cover a large frequency margin....
So I'm thinking a woofer, wave and a tweet or two .....
Cabs will be roughly 39 inches tall by 20 inches wide.

I have a MAC with Office 2008 or whatever it is. When opening the spread-sheet in Excel you will get the following error splash screen:
I don't know what the macros do. You can run the spreadsheet. I don't know how to use it yet, so I can't tell you if the macros are needed.

Like the screen grab says, visual basic Macros don't work in Office 2008 for Mac.
Next day or two. The second unit is running as of late last night, and I confirm that the Schumacher crossover works with it, as well. I need to run more measurements on the pair today, confirm that the L-pad attenuation works, and test it with the sample of four DE250s I have here before posting.
The topology is a substantial departure from Wayne's approach, but there were hints that this would work in Jack's early investigations of DE250 on the QSC waveguide. After this past weekend's listening sessions, I believe I'm safe in saying we've quite stepped in it with this combo.

You know I'd be one of the first to build one... I need to tame that horn a little better than the M19 does....
I would try it anyway. I seem to remember that most of it works even
without the macros, not sure, but it is worth a try if you've gotten that far.
You might try Windows emulation if you have a newer Mac;
I think you can even boot XP if you're willing to set it up as dual boot.
I'm not into Mac's this is just what I've heard. There is the cost of XP,
and the Win version of Excel to consider also, unless you have an old copy.
There are probably older, much simpler spread sheet based simulators but
it would take some digging around to find one. There were versions for HP
programmable calculators IIRC.
