Those wires deserve the piss-take. There's nothing there worth £23k, unless they sell only one and use the revenue to pay the yearly salary of the junior tech who soldered the ends on.

Look at the description:

• CARBON-BASED NOISE-DISSIPATION and CROSSTALK-DISSIPATION SYSTEM (INSULATION) to reduce interference.
• DIELECTRIC-BIAS SYSTEM for increased Phase Alignment
• SPREAD-SPECTRUM TECHNOLOGY (SST) used to remove the sound signature of the conductive cores

Nothing there makes any electronic sense. Out of context, clauses like "phase alignment" and "reduce interference" are meaningful, but as a whole it's gibberish.

I've often wondered why people do this. I'm guilty of saying what I do and don't like. However, neither has anything to do with cost. All of my opinions are based on actually hearing "whatever". If I haven't heard it I don't make qualitative comments.

The advertisement mentioned in this thread is in a different category. It's like selling a short-sleeved white cotton garment for £23,000 and calling it a "a planetary contact-orbit space-suit for oxygenated natural H2O-shielded micro-zones", in other words, a T-shirt for use indoors.

So does dragging a bunch of junk home fixing it and and saying it sounds good and is just as good as buying top shelf new equipment?

That's because your not an envyus person and wouldn't want to run around insulting others.

Ever wonder why AK doesn't have factory input on this site, doesn't have very many members that have high end systems, doesn't have members that design and build high end?

We used to....and they are out there but are on sites that the members actually buy equipment, actually want to know about advancements and testing and what's new in the audio world.
