3D printing

The stand that I have is no longer made I thought I could send out the bracket and have it made

Someone has to have the technology to scan/measure the exact dimensions and convert that via a program to tell the printer what to print.

It's not that hard to measure something, and create an adequately accurate 3d model to print. I've done it to re-create various parts, or to measure various things and create cases/mounts for them.

If that bracket has mounting holes, that's the most significant measurement required.

The mechanical strength of things printed in PLA isn't that brilliant, as the inter-layer bonding isn't huge.

Would be very easy to do that piece in DesignSpark Mechanical and print it in ABS or nylon for the strength. This is a free program and will do both 2D and 3D. I use it lots.

Once you get it designed and in a file, there are places that can print it for you. But be aware that the going rate is about $10/cu in of media, and more for various out of the way materials (e.g., nylon).

Just for an example, the following piece cost me $60 to print, and obviously there is very little to it.

I see at this point I'm open for anything the brackets hold a sheet of glass that hold the audio stuff.any ideas on replacement brackets?

There are some scary/tragic photos of audio gear that once sat on glass shelves. I would really worry about the strength of a printed bracket.
