4500x Network

Not sure if my build was deleted in that thread from awhile back but here is the pair I built. I might venture out to higher end caps one day but, overall, I'm pleased with their sound. I went with the more economical route on the capacitors to start. No complaints.

Very nice! Where do you find those standoffs?

They apparently stopped making them for whatever reason. They were Molex branded. At the time I built these, I had some left from an AA crossover I built for a pair of Belle clones I made in late 2017. But, I needed more and couldn't find them at Digikey where I initially bought them. I google the part number and Newark had a minimal quantity left so I bought the majority (maybe 30). This is from the Newark website but does show unavailable now. Maybe some place out there still uses them or has spares....or might have to go to something else.

Does the 4500x reverse the midrange polarity? I had ~10db dip with AAs between 500-6k Hz at my seat. This flattened out once I reversed both mids. One way or another, I'll do REW sweeps when they show up :)

Copy that.
I was measuring at the listening position. It may be room interaction. My LS sounded very strange when I first hooked them up with AA's. I measured each individually and they were flat(ish). But combined there was a huge hole. It was as if one mid was wired out of phase, but the center image was rock solid in the middle. I reversed mids one at a time in case one was mislabeled from the factory. When I reversed both mids everything flattened out and sounded normal. Measured normal too.
No big. I was just curious.
