4ohm tap 6ohm speakers

Thanks for reply. No result that I can tell, amp is dead quite at any volume nothing playing.
Thinking with the right speakers might be very good. Just no funds for expensive speakers.
Have to do some reading on OB's have some drivers from consoles etc.
No idea about extra cap? You looking at schematic?

I'm no expert just a learner at this point but I'm thinking that the third tap is a feedback circuit. Can't recall seeing any Maggies of this vintage with 4 ohm and 8 ohm taps. You can run a 8 ohm speaker on a 4 ohm OPT ok. You need some very efficient speakers for these amps. I bought a pair of Klipsch RP 600 for my amps I'm redoing.

Tried a pair of 6 ohm speakers just not the right speakers, presently running Canton plus D, not bad but
they could use a recap. Have thought about car speakers? Thinking need some older speakers but shipping
too high and really need to try before buy. Need synergy. Putting out some feelers out local. May have to try
OB. Ignorant on electronics, time to learn.
Is it the two smaller transformers that determine ohm for speaker?

Thanks to reply's from markmcmuz and YY1 about running 8 ohm speakers drug Maggie back to living room and hooked up the Norman Labs 8's.
The longer listened too the better the sound, won't peel paint or rattle windows but still sound is very good. Upon first listen with the model
8's the tweeters had ringing in certain music. I remembered that I'd recapped them and never run the caps in. After listening most
of today their is no ring and just sweet sound. I am amazed it powers the speakers to very enjoyable level and has base also.
The bad news is these speakers NL's are too big for bedroom, and the SC-120 seems also too much for it. Am sure to work something out.
Just asked another seller for more pictures of a ST-70. Intervention will surely be needed soon and hoping for a payment plan!
