ADS HT 300 crossover

I'd bet the crossover is still 2nd order. The values of the components are probably slightly different. If you look at the values of your crossover, just plug 'em into the 2nd order topology. If values aren't on the inductors, it's likely the largest is for the woofer, as would be the shunt capacitor connected to one lead of the inductor.
Might be a schematic for those around here somewhere, we did put them back into production in 2001ish... I'll take a look when I get a chance.
Why the need for a schematic though? No chance those are in real need of any part replacements at this point, unless someone cooked the system.

A fair question, so some background is in order. I have an HT/music system with ADS Sat 7s as the front speakers. They are 4 ohm, but my receiver has a switch to handle 4 ohm speakers, but only for the fronts. I need an 8 ohm center, so I was considering building a center using two 4 ohm Sat 7 woofers wired in series, housed in a cabinet twice as big in volume as a single Sat 7. I realized that ADS had done pretty much the same thing with the 4 ohm single woofer HT300 and the 8 ohm dual woofer HT400. I own an HT400 and can make my own schematic from it. I think it would be educational to see how the component values of the HT400 compare with an HT300.

Got it. I've got samples of both so we can get the answer that way if I don't turn up schematics. Will advise, stand by.
P.S. I'd guess Richard So might have an answer on this also, he was the acoustics engineer at ADST at the time those were being designed.

No joy on schematics. I'm either looking in the wrong place (or for files that have name/type different than what I expected) or they weren't retained when the Phoenix locations were closed down. Could be either.
Might drop Richard a line at ads_speakers@yahoo.com and ask him if he has the component details for the HT300. That's easier than getting to the crossovers in one of these little bank vaults of a speaker.
