Air Guns

Any one use air guns here? Not air soft toys, but pellet guns, for hunting. I sold all my fire arms and concentrate on air guns now. I don't have one that will do big game yet ( they do make them in up to .50 caliber that will take dear, hogs and other larger game animals). Mine is a custom carbine style. Just wondering.
I saw a .72 caliber one with a massive pellet , they fkkk up a few cinder blocks with it, link

wow, those are spendy slugs (.72 caliber)
Well at that caliber you won't be shooting it much, you could but it gets heavy and loud, it can destroy a cinder block or two, shoots pretty far, when you range the thing is to get it to be accurate and precise not so much about putting a lot rds like a AR or a 9mm, so if you have 100 in stock is plenty until you need more, this particular caliber anyway, I had big caliber guns and if you are not into big hunting or competition target the riffle just sits on your safe.

I've been looking at going to a .25 cal. But, that puts me into having to order rounds, and not going somewhere (Walmart, Big5, Turners Outdoorsman, etc.). The .25, and larger rounds just aren't a retail sort of thing.
Finding .72 just adds a challenge

I received my Umarex Luger BB pistol and have had it out back to shoot. It fits my hand OK, but my trigger finger is a touch too short; so shooting becomes a two step affair. The trigger throw is long; so I pull the trigger back about half way as the first move, then, once settled, the trigger is pulled. It seems a bit heavy at first use, but gets more comfortable with continued use. I have never been a pistol user; so I wasn't aware that me being ambidextrous was going to be an issue. My brain say to shoot with my right hand, but my eyes say shoot with the left because I am left eyed. This is not the first time this issue has popped up in my life.

No real relation to your pistol, but, I was able to adjust the trigger throw on my Beeman P17, by way of taking it apart to a small degree, and exposing the trigger mechanism area. In there, I found the a small spring that I replaced with a slightly softer after-market spring from the local Ace hardware store. It helped in accuracy without having to pull so hard. Its still safe, just slightly easier trigger pull.
Maybe worth a look?
I too am a left-hand shooter, but naturally a righty. My right eye is a hot mess. So, everything gets aimed and shot from the left.

.25 is plenty round for multiple things, getting rds will become easier as new companies see the profit and sales on riffles go up, I’ve been thinking about make a few with my friend that has a forge.

.25 pellets are easy enough to find but you need to order online. Weights vary from 20 grains to 35 or more. I have a UK made Webly Tomahawk spring air rifle I shoot the 20 grainers out of. It's a lot easier loading a .25 pellets vs a .177, that's for sure.

You shooting varmin with those .177's?
Warning shots for my feral neighbors pussies. Mostly a noisemaker the kitties do not like that POP, but It quit working yesterday and them pussies movin' slow or not at all in the weather. I had the VIGILANTE at the ready but I left it bake (at the ready) in the sun and since then the valve is not working. I was about to mess with it but then, I didn't. Maybe a bit of oil in the right spots will do it.

Straight 30wt non detergent motor oil will swell viton seals. Auto trans fluid also works.

CO2 airguns have a temp range in which they are effective. Too hot or too cold and they loose power. A simple single multi pumps like a Crosman 1377 or 1322 would fit the bill. I have a couple Crosman 2240 co2 pistols that have extended barrels as target pistols that are extremely accurate out to 40 yards.

Yet, depending on what state you're in.

Eventually, most states will legally define them as firearms.
The ATF has stated in their regs that airguns are NOT to be considered firearms. Where would the fire be as there is no niter or powder to burn making it a firearm? But, many municipalities DO have regs on discharging them within city limits and do require at least a small game license if you plan to hunt with one. Without a "silencer" they can sound a lot like a small caliber firearm, like a .22. By the way, silencers are somewhat legal (it's a grey area) for airguns and are sold online. But they require removal of the front site so at least a scope is required but it needs to be an airgun specified scope and those made for firearms can't stand up to the double jolt from the piston in the airgun upon firing it.

Thank you. I oiled the cartridge top and the valve connection point as well and a couple of pellets shot but after that. Nope. No push.
Maybe a seal or some such disfigured in the heat.
So I figured I would put it on the ever popular work bench. Maybe I will try again with more oil.
I originally considered a rifle pumper of some sort but chose the pistola.
I looked at the two models you suggested, they look good.

I have migrated to the old slingshot and some clay balls to move the cats along.
