Briefly, we need 10 participants, there are two options. One with cabinets for 205-225.00 depending on cabinet finish and the second option being the components (sans cabinets/baffles) for 115.00 shipped within the continuous 48. This is including an estimated shipping price, it's possible that if you are in a remote area or right on a coast, it might be closer to 120.00.

I agree, that pre-finished cabinets are a no brainer, IMO. Which is probably why Ray and I are opting to build our own.

Thanks go to PE for extending the excellent pricing for us, and to AK for allowing it to occur. AK will be getting a little donation when the GB is complete.

205.00 is everything you need to build the speakers, minus the PVC for the port and a board to build the crossovers on. Jackgiff is preparing a howto to make your own PCB and providing the artwork for the crossover.

Hi,

What would the issues be with using these parts in a .55 Cubic foot box?
I have a pair of Polk rt5's with blown woofers and would like to try this project but don't have the scratch to blow on the whole shebang.
My Boxes are 14.5"x8.5"x9.75"
Opinions please?

It'll likely work just fine. You may have to adjust the port length, is all. It'll also work closed box.

That was one of the fundamental design concepts: stick it in a shoebox, if you like.

[I haven't actually tried that, tho.... ;) ]
