It isn’t that great of a deal. It’s a decent deal if you can do the work yourself. He said that all of the speakers need to be rebuilt. That’s a fairly big expense if you are going to ship them out, and you’ll be waiting for months to get them back from great plains(if that’s who you choose to do the work).

And someone did something to it, look at the speaker binding post ! Those are not original. Yeah, for some, it does not matter but for others, it reduce the value.

... and you live in Huntington. I wouldn't make that drive for half the asking price with all working drivers. I'd rather drive 2 or 3 times as far to somewhere else, anywhere else.

The factory terminal location is a pain in the ass on a good day. The terminal mod would be pretty easily reversed for those that don't approve.

The left woofer has been re-coned, too much dope was applied it's puddling at the bottom.

Right woofer appears to be original, the adhesive is breaking down, gaskets are falling off.

Really need to know the driver load to assess value. Late models loaded with ferrite drivers are not worth as much as proper original drivers, and they won't sound like they're supposed to without the proper drivers.

I agree that the factory terminal on the bottom is hard to access. But this mod will leave two holes if someone reverse it. Believe me, that will cause you few $$$ when selling it. It a very easy target for lowball.

Agree, they're a buyer's bargaining chip. But, these speakers already have no shortage of those.

For those of us with the skills, tools, and selection of veneer on hand those holes are easily filled and hidden with a couple of precisely punched and applied veneer plugs. They would be invisible to the majority of enthusiasts. Just a few more hours added to the journey.
