Altec Model 19

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a pair of real nice altec model 19 with the walnut cabs. Thinking of making an offer on them, but don't know what they are worth. is $2000 too much?

Depends although sound s a bit steep. I paid $900 for mine and they are original w/ grills and in excellent condition.

Have not kept up with pricing over the last year but seems they could be had for less than 2K.

That being said, I could be wrong and if local, that certainly helps as you can check them out. Sometimes in our quest to obtain quickly, we may pay a premium to get them but everything is relative. If you are in a remote area and they don't come up very often w/ local p/u, it MAY be worth ot to you.
