Another Speaker ID

TheFonze73

Heyyyyyyyyy
Any clues? The badge on one speaker is marked CI. Otherwise apparently no other markings. Am considering buying if ID looks promising.

Cheers

Nice speaks there Fonze!
Can't place them though, but I will keep up with this thread to get the brand name. I am sure someone will come up with the answer. If you can get to the drivers, they may give some clue.

The guy selling them isn't game on removing the grills. I think they are more of a sock covering the whole cabinet. The dimensions are 80cm x 45cm x 25cm.

Vandersteen?
Snell?

Those I know of that had CI in the name. Probably an acronym though. There's a Klipsch with CI in the name too, but those are not them.

I think they are Vandersteens. If not they might be Von Schweikert or Vortex or whatever the name was.

Can you get a picture of the back of the speaker, where the terminals connect?

Look a lot like Vandersteen 2Ci... but that wood base is definitely non-stock, if so.

Regards,
Gordon.

Really similar to Vandersteen, but not quite right I think. Definitely the same idea. Vandersteen 2's have the top panel cut out for cloth.

Wait a minute... looking at that picture again, those speakers are ON a TABLE.

No way they're Vandersteens... there never was a Vandersteen model made like that, that was THAT small. That's a bookshelf-size speaker...

Regards,
Gordon.

Yea, I noticed there up on a table too. I'm tempted to say DCM, but I've never seen this model before, and am probably wrong.

Could they possibly be and ACI speaker? I didn't see anything in their gallary, but could be a 'custom' build that never got released.

Gordon is right -- those are a lot smaller than I thought they were. I'd thought they were on a rug on the floor, not on a table on a placemat.
There was a company Black _____ (not Black Ice, that was a short lived backpacking equipment company, and not Black Watch, which I think was a Duntech speaker) that had a speaker that looked somewhat like that. But my memory is that it was taller.
Interesting...

DCM Time Windows looking to me, but they are so small, can you tell how many drivers are underneath the sock grills? They look cool, nice looking wood.
