Anyone else suffer from migranes ?

Yeah, w/as many of us headache sufferers out there, any/all info on what "Works" for you is worthwhile...This time of year, w/the screwy weather, & POLLINATING trees-Yes, they do it in the fall/early winter-and my allergies play havoc...

I apologize for hijacking Grumpy's thread for a momemt, but my chronic sinus problems are linked to hyper sensitivity to certain smells, pollution, & a deviated septum.

Have not had the surgery yet, but I may have to one day soon. Also, after reading some posts in sinus headache threads, caffeine can be a catalyst to headaches.

I have taking Excedrin for as long as I can remember to take away the pain as nothing else works. Since I am a CHF survivor I cannot take any meds. that have Pseudoephedrine in it.

I'll take my punishment now, Grumpy! :D

Hi Art!

You betcha!
Man, like others here I have been dealing with sinus headaches since I was a teenager & only within the last ten years or so did I find out that Excedrin & the generic types take the pain away.

I guess it is the combo of ingredients that helps people like your wife & myself. Even the prescribed drugs from doctors like Flonase & others will not take away the pain.

Now, there are those days that even ole Excedrin does not work, so I keep a face towel in the freezer for those times to place over my eyes, forehead & try to limit my activites. I have had sinus headaches that lasted 5 days & gotta tell ya, I pray no one ever has to deal with that.

Also, I use a Saline spray at times, but I can't say it helps all that much I just try to keep the nasal passages moist. I can feel the swelling before an onset of headache. Only when I can hear a creaking noise of some sort in the nasal area does the pressure begin to subside & the headaches start to ease off.

Well, glad to know your wife is a believer in Excedrin as well & hope her headaches are kept to the barest minimum.
