Are these Technics speakers any good?

Okay...it's gone.
The seller emailed and it's sold but still doesn't know their model number.
He just mentions they are Technics.
I'm still at work so cannot compete with those who can go look at them anytime in the afternoon. Oh well... still a mystery on what they look like without grills.

Maybe they're chalk full of Altec drivers but the seller thinks Altec and Technics are the same thing?!!? Hey, a guy can dream right!?

The gap is hard to judge, but look at how the middle portion in the "technics" lines up with the inner edge of the baffle trim. On the Altecs, it's well inside that edge. I wish somebody would show up and solve this mystery.

Tough call...I'd say Altec but I suppose the point is now moot!

The dimensions of the 14's are 30H X 21W from the info i found,so they are not 14's if the seller's measurements are correct.Please pass the ketchup.

My bet is they are the Altecs as the pictures are similar.
Who gives a hoot to the seller's measurements!
He didn't even know what they are.

-Didn't some Japanese company in the '70's have an almost perfect clone of JBL 4311's?

Looked exactly the same, except they badged them as JdL 43's or something like that.

At any rate, I still think they're Atlec's 14s, maybe 19's
