ARXA plinth plans

Hey folks,

Just wondering if anyone has the dimensions for the ARXA plinth?

I have a AR77XB that Id like to swap into a nicer base. Thinking I might as well build a base.

All the best,

Dave

This has nothing to do with what the OP is asking for, unless he does not understand what a plinth is.
I assuming he does, but we all know what happens when we ass-u-me. Just wanted to give him an idea of what could be done if he had the skills. I don’t, so that’s why Marc and AVfan did it for me. Always enjoy your posts.

My metal plinth part measures exactly 12" x 16", so I do not understand your comment.
the top plate on the XB77 sits on the wood base. if the inside dimensions of the base were to be 12 x 16, the top plate won't sit on it. if smaller inside dimensions than given, great difficulty in attaching the top plate to the hold-downs will occur.

I never tire of looking at the pics of that beauty...
If my XB's dust cover wasn't in such good shape I'd want one just like yours. If I may ask, where did you get the AR logo done?
Got on EBay from a seller I believe named Jnbaudio, but could be wrong. Anyway, this seller is still there and does all kinds of dust covers.

Here's my marcmorin/AvFan masterpiece collaboration.

I know JnB does the covers but they added the AR Inc. logo too?
Yes. They asked me if I wanted it added when I placed my order. I did tell them I needed to make sure the height was high enough to clear my cuing lever. During the conversation, they asked about the logo, and offered it for a small extra fee. Worth every penny IMHO.

sounds pretty good too ;)
Yes it does. You set me up with a great cartridge. AK member Gordonw has also now had a chance to do a tune up on the table and he was very impressed. Gordon is a masterat table set up and building tube amps and such. I have my tables tuned up once a year. 50-75 dollars very well spent.
