As posted in the other thread it seems to being going for the MM crown at $799
Seems about right when you consider what is in there...

Start with an AT150MLx body - official price $500

Then you replace the boron cantilever with a sapphire cantilever maybe an additional $100? (that would seem a reasonable premium, given the going rates at retippers)

But here is the kicker - the specs say sapphire PIPE - not sapphire ROD....
Assuming there hasn't been a mistranslation from the Japanese, that would have the cantilever mass.... And probably double the cost of the stylus...

Then they rebuilt the cartridge body - made it out of titanium for better vibration control... and filled it with some sort of damping material...

Asking around $700 to $800 sounds like value.

If this beastie performs up to the potential implied by these specifications, there are a bunch of MC's costing up to 10x its price who are going to be running scared!

This is a serious attempt at the MM high end crown - and the previous contenders for that crown were among the best cartridges ever made.

Waiting on the first reviews....

bye for now

David
