Avid 105 speakers?

I just picked up a pair by far one of the best speakers systems that I have had the pleasure of lisening to. Truely Unbelievable . Even with all original gear.

the great days (missed) of acoustic suspension. only few manufacturers were building AS speakers by the time of the AVID 105....

Yea, I'm never going to sell these. My wife even loves the vintage look she had a girl get together and all the woman loved them also "super surprised". I thought she was going to kill me when i brought them home from the estate sale, but it was completely opposite. My buddy's young like me that are not in to the vintage audio get hooked as soon I turn them on. So I give the model 105s a 10.... I'm sure there is better out there but not for me.

whats little known about AS speakers is that they are usually made to take some eq to extend the bass down. you can get another half octave at least with a mild eq at about 28hz.

In that sideways photo that you posted I see an early Philips tweeter.

Aren't Seas drivers from Denmark?

So here are some pics of the 12in. woofer...I was also able to capture some of the numbers in order to archive these part numbers...perhaps someone here can identify the maker/supplier...hard to believe that the rubber surrounds have held up for so long...

According to the EIA code.

285 = Rola, manufacture

76 = 1976, year of manufacture

10 = 10th week, week of manufacture

Avid 105...ho bisogno di consigli



Circa quattro mesi fa, mi sono imbattuto in un annuncio su Craigslist. La mia ricerca principale quando cerco informazioni sull'attrezzatura è sempre Audiokarma. Ero sconcertato dal fatto che nessuno su questo forum poteva fornire informazioni su questi. Penso che il web possa fornire informazioni e foto preziose...non ho trovato nulla! Non potevo credere che queste cose fossero così estinte... e ne avevo alcune nella mia zona.

Quindi tornando a casa dopo il lavoro, avevo paura di andare a caccia. Ma ho avuto molta fortuna... dovrò raccontarvi alcune delle mie altre storie un'altra volta. Quindi arrivo e penso che devo solo vedere un'altra scatola comune... beh, questa cosa assomiglia più a un tavolino di grandi dimensioni... quindi eccola qui...

Buongiorno. Ho una coppia di 105 con problemi sul xover... qualcuno può aitarmi? schema insistente... ( ho anche una magnifica coppia di colonnine 110... perfette )
