Hi,im thinking about buying a pair of Avid 230s for $50.00currently I'm using The Advent '74 Kloss editition and just love them and small Kenwood bookshelfs to finish out my 5.1, can anyone give me an opinion on if the Avids would make decent rears toteamed with Adventsmy ? Thanks in advance

Yup my Dad upgraded the old Sears stereo in about 1974 with a Kenwood receiver, Dual turntable and a pair of Avid 102s. Boy was I happy!
A couple of years later I purchased a used set of 103s and set them up in my bedroom. Really liked the way they sounded and fond of the Phillips tweeter.
Fast forward to a couple of months ago and I purchased a pair of Rectilinear 5s. Larger cabinet with real walnut veneer and two phillips drivers. The same tweeter and a 7 inch Phillips mid base with whizzer cone. Similar sound signature with 12 inch woofer.
