B & W Pics

Vato, that is something that is in the works.:scratch2:

I am looking at doing some major kitchen remodeling that involves moving that end of the house out about 10 to 12 feet. Along with that I am planing a new back entrance and digging out the basement the same dimensions. This will become my man cave/darkroom.:thmbsp:

However, we just did a major renovation to our screened-in back porch and made it into a 3 seasons room. Way too much money was spent so I have to recuperate from that first!:sigh:

I'd imagine you don't live close to me otherwise I would give you pretty much everything you would need to equip a basic darkroom. I have designed and built several over the years (and maybe just one more for myself) so if you ever get around to it and I'm still around give a holler for any ideas I might be able to throw your way.

I appreciate your offer sir! Sounds like you've had mucho experience in that area and I would very much like to tap into that knowledge when it comes time to set up.

I have a brother-in-law who has an enlarger and some other darkroom equipment that he no longer uses and was mentioning that I could borrow them. I don't think he'll get rid of his stuff although he hasn't used any of it in years.

Hopefully I can get started on my set-up in the near future and that you'll still be around!:thmbsp:

Speaking of Polaroid's, I ought to drag my Automatic 100 out of mothballs & go shoot with her sometime. Here's one I shot awhile back:

Nice shot Mike! Love the texture that comes through and the hard contrast.

I love the T-Max films, especially T-Max 100 which is what I use for medium format and 4x5.

Mine don't work very well, one of the drivers popped out of place so it rattles around and they need a new cord. I also dissected one of the pads to steal a bit of the foam to mod my in-ear phones (but not to the point that it's unusable).

They have such an odd sound stage....almost hollow sounding. They look neat though.

Thanks Vato!

The Tmax 100 was what I started out with as I had two rolls that I bought over 2 years ago and never used. I developed them using the times that were stated on the Ilford sheet for non-Ilford films and of course, being a newbie, I followed the instructions to a "t".

I've since done some reading on push processing and the Tmax films so I decided to give it a go on the 400 speed film.

Nice experiments. Did you burn out the highlights intentionally, or is that just the way they are?
