Yeah, for $3000. Lot's of excellent speakers can be had at that price point. Speakers have come along way since 1969, and I thinks it's safe to say most new speakers @ $3000 would sound better than those.

with all due respect, i highly doubt that.:yes: maybe it was just my taste in speakers, but i had different experience with them.

i've had the sovereign for year and a half before sending 'em off due to their size and beyond repairable cosmetic condition. and when i did, i really had tears in my eyes. anyone with any doubt - once you hear them in proper setting, you will not say one more word and will not even attempt to compare with any new speakers of that price range. trust me on this.

and as far as the value, i think the pair of those midrange drivers are worth about the asking price.
