All joking aside, as I posted previously, I offer my full support to SuperjazzyJa and others that might feel the need to block someone and again even if that someone might be me for my humor.

I have not found it necessary for me to use although I've been tempted on one or two occasions. Have suggested to a few others they use the ignore feature if my posts are unpalatable to them.

Not exactly.... I'M still here, after all....
I put one person on ignore, once. It wasn't long before he was banned, so I needn't have bothered. True assholes don't last long on AK, IME.

Sometimes my state of mind or recent reading will have me post responses that seem pertinent to me but not the OP, who might be unintentionally offended by them. That might get me blacklisted, or my short and long term memory problems with whom I had interactions may make me appear inconsiderate and cause annoyance. I really don't go to be offensive, and if I decide the wording of a post doesn't convey my intent with at least a modicum of respect or might be misconstrued, I'll go back and edit it in hindsight if it hasn't already garnered a response and reply from me.

There really HAVE been a few people who were offended by something I said. 95% of the time, though, its something they've taken out of context, and/or read something into what I said that wasn't REALLY there. But that is the NATURE of trying to be witty/funny most all of the time-There are ALWAYS a few who WON'T "Get It". Trust me, however, if I was WANTING to insult/annoy you, you would KNOW it. My Vituperation knows NO bounds...
