Bosch (Amazon Prime)

Well I started to watch the first episode of "Bosch:Legacy" a while back. The good news: it's as good as the earlier series. The bad news: Amazon Prime now has commercials! Beyond irritating!

Amazon Prime or Freevee?

I know the Freevee section of Prime comes with ads. Not seen any ads on Prime proper, but then I am in Canada, and also can't get Freevee.

The only sequel that was ever better than the original, IMO, was Road Warrior (preceded by a "B" film called Mad Max. Actually, the same might be said for the second Terminator movie as well.

You should check out "El Mariachi" and "Desperado". They're both good, but one's definitely gooder than the other.

I like Bosch, although he doesn't rank first or even second for me from among Connelly's main characters. I haven't seen the "Bosch" tv show at all.

I'll check those two out. I'd not heard of either.

Since its actually a thread about Titus Welliver's Bosch I'll just add -

Bosch: Legacy Season 2 premieres on Amazon Freevee on October 20, 2023

Its pretty much thread crapping when adults are talking about TV shows we enjoy
and someone pops in saying they dumped their TV years ago and don't watch TV shows.
It gets real old. Real old. And is not actually relevant.

I thought I was looking at Bosch on Amazon Prime when I got the commercials. I will try again to make sure I was on Prime and not Freevee. Thanks for the tip!

Bosch is a cop in the original (nonCommercial) series, and a Private detective on Bosch: Legacy (FreeVee with commercials).
Tho surprisingly, we've been watching a Star Trek documentary series on Prime "The Center Chair", listed as being on FreeVee,
and have not seen a commercial break on it.

So we saw S2 E1&2 of Bosch: Legacy at the theater last night. The big surprise was our ticket stubs were $10 concession vouchers making the cost just the $2 Fandango service fee. The shows were great! I'm no spoiler so I won't say any more about them. Can't wait for the drop tomorrow. The commercials on Prime and FreeVee thing is a confusing mess. I think commercials on Prime starts in the new year and there will be a ~$3 fee to get rid of them. No idea how to get FreeVee without commercials yet.

Just watched the first 2 episodes on Prime, in Canada and NO commercials.

A good opener to the new series, but there was a head-wobbling cliche in episode 2.

woah.

I was not aware of the Prime move to commercials. Although kudos to them for giving you the option of paying a fee to avoid them - if that is indeed how it works out. I'd gladly pay a fee to avoid them on FreeVee too.

Nice - 4 episodes of Season 2 dropped yesterday!
We watched two and will save the others until more drop (Episodes drops on Fridays).

For me having commercials makes it not quite as good.

Have to go with you on this one, nailer.

Without his badge and being on board as one of force, he seems so much on the outside, and "fluffed" to the side.

Bosch oft really doesn't use his present status...more riding on his past rep and given authority.

Usually he can get the job done, much to the chagrin of his used-to-be colleagues.
