Wow,a lot of hype,I still own my TD 126 mk III for 40 years,first owner . Right now it is collecting dust and need a total make over.Thought about to sell for somebody you likes a project for the winter.

I am going to contact the seller on eBay before I open up a ticket maybe there's something that can be done to fix it here.

Did the seller disclose those issues? That’s a considerable amount to pay without plinth and tonearm, especially considering the mechanical issues...
Obviously the seller would need to “make it right” if those problems were not mentioned, or if it was listed as in “good working condition”
Essentially paid $100 more for mine with plinth, dustcover, 305 TA and new Ortofon Blue from an eBay seller who sells mainly Denon turntables.
I also purchased a DA 401 TA from a member here, he happens to be the one selling a Denon dual TA Plinth on eBay with multiple TA plates, it’s probably for sale here also, in Barter Town. Didn’t realize he had the plinth for sale at the time we made the TA deal or i’d tried to snag it in the package ;-)
Have no affiliation with him other than buying his TA, he gave me a great price and sure knows how to pack....
