Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

My C-2x is here!

The C-2x I purchased from Wajobu arrived, and is now singing away as I type. Before I sell my C-2a, which it is replacing, I thought I snap a picture of the two pre-amps together. I haven't done any critical listening yet, but already I can see why the C-2x gets so much praise. I'm also thrilled to get a headphone output back, since the C-2a lacks one, and my C-4 had one. I've missed it for late-night listening.

Once you've had a chance to listen to the C-2x, I think we'd all be interested to hear your opinion comparing the three.

Now for a baby Yamaha CR-200. :D Two, count 'em TWO output devices per channel in a single ended parallel configuration. I'm not sure of the power output but it can't be more than 20wpc.

Rescued from the bin because it had a damaged volume pot. A dab of superglue and solder later it was working.

Very very nice turntable Mark!! One of these days i will find some space...

I do have a question: I own a cdx-1110 at the moment and a cdx-5000 is offered to me (600 euro's). Is the amount of money worth it? My 1110 works just fine and have none comments on it but a cdx-5000...wow!

The CDX-5000 is an awesome machine. If it's in excellent condition I'd pay that much for it, but it may not be worth that much to you.

eltigro this would go in the dollars and no sense forum or a PM!

That said, it might catch something like this on the german e-pay depending on the condition and how many "real" bidders. BUT! remember it might need a new laser and they are hard to get or expensive to have build, so don't get sceared of paying some extra euro in near future for service.

My B-2 Contribution

Just found this thread so thought I would add my own. I just got my B-2 about 10 days ago. I Got it cleaned up and am listening to it. It IS a most impressive amplfier, truly a sound of it own and built like nothing else I have ever seen for a mere 100 watt amp! The more I listen to it the more I want to listen to it- just pure old excellence!
