As all old pic's have been blown away with the server problems recently, this is our chance to update same. Post all your vintage Yamaha pic's here!

First pic is my small flock of B-2 amps (four plus the one in use at this time), second is a CR-1020 with a PF-51 TT on top and a CR-640 with a YP-D71 on top, and the third pic is my main rig as listed below the pic's.

Here are pics of my vintage yamaha CA-2010 & CT-1010. The veneer on both wood cabinets was done by merrylander. Tuner alignment by dr*audio.

Nudie of A-1020

125 wpc and 5wpc in Class A. Note the baking and flaking off of the tar paper top cover of the transformer (upper-left corner). The trans is surrounded by a metal box on all four sides, and then this 1/8-inch thick piece of tar, which turns to stone when it gets heated. The amp runs very hot in Class A when Vol is cranked. I've seen a couple of pics of one with a nice burnt/rust square section on the metal case, just above this transformer.

The new CR-1000 has its own thread, this CR-2040 was posted on the old server during the crash so I'll add it here. The CR-2020 is in the cabinet and I have to take the glass doors off to get it out so fuggedaboutit.

This is my one and only piece of Yamaha gear, this one was a freebie from my Grandad's next-door neighbor. Can't beat a CA-810 in pristine shape for the big -0$- ! I really like the way it looks (very nice meters), but I still prefer the sound of most of my Pioneers.

I have an R-2000 TOTL receiver, TOTL M-70 & M-80 amps, two T-80 tuners, and a TOTL C-80 preamp. All were TOTL in their series.
In the HT, I run a pair of NS-A838 12-inch, 3-ways (cloth surronds), an NS-A835 (older version of thd A828) for center channel duty & the surrounds are NS-A626 (IIRC). I have a pair of NS-A838 that I had used for the center channel and also the stand for the TV. Haven't got round to toting and lifting just yet. Had a sharp tinge of pain at work today when I was bending over to but a heavy oversized book on the bottom shelf of a book truck
Think I'll take a pain pill. Ugh.

Here is the other Yamaha equipment, my K-350 cassette and my K-1000 cassette. I had two K-1000s, one black, one silver (even have another silver one but the transport is shot). I kept the black one because it matched the Onkyo CDP (I keep thinking it is a Denon because the seller shipped it in a Denon box). I veneered the K-350 case because it was marked. That one was funny because the seller said he could not test it because the cassette door was missing.

Nice set! Hope you don't actually do any listening with those paper-towels blocking those ventilation vents. An overheated amp is not a happy amp.

First post.....the photo with all the gear has two of them without cases on the bottom shelf, one on the shelf above, one on its side on the 2x4s in front of the shelf. And the last photo of my main rig shows the one driving my NS-1000Ms. Will move a second one over once I bi-amp the NS-1000Ms this winter. And, no......I am not going to lug around these 57 pound amps to make a nice picture.
