Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

It lives! Only T-4 from Yamaha I've seen over here is a silencer for one of their ATVs. Lots of fun, but doesn't sound that great and gets rotten reception. :D

Yes, a CR-1000 would be nice, but that'll be a lot harder to do than getting these was!
I have two...soon to be three. I am to rebuild one, and put together as near a perfect one from the parts of the other two as I can, which will then be sold to benefit the site.

So if you are patient...

I better start clearing some shelf space! I'll look out for it for sure.

Well, I had an M-2 and an M-80. Currently I have the T-1 tuner, CX-630 preamp and within 2 weeks I should have my new to me CX-1000U preamp. I can't wait for that puppy!

Bed room system, CT-600, CA-800, YP-511 and an akia cassette deck to be replaced by a Yamaha K-1000 cassette soon. Looking for a silver GE-3 eq and a good Silver Yamaha CD player. Any model suggestions?

It is a nice pre, I like mine a lot ranking it in the top 5 of best Yamaha preamps. I use it in my computer setup, that way I can run digital out of the comp and into the CX-1000.

That's my plan for it, at least in part. It will be nice to be able to hve a digital connection to the computer again. Does it have any weaknesses that you have noted?

Yes the CX-1000 has the Yamaha "weakness", the analogue RCA connections develop lose connections. I believe it is the wire connecting the RCA board to the amp board. The digital part works A OK, using the Burr-Brown PCM58 18bit converter (I am still not 100% on this, but 99%). It can handle 48 KHz, so you can run DVD (stereo) straight in to it.

Oh and another thing, you might gain Wight. That remote control is a sweet thing; it can also control the Yamaha CDX players!

Sounds good although mine does not have the remote but I plan to use the Yamaha RCX remote I already have. Actually, can you post a pic of the remote you have? i wonder if it would be worth it to see if I can buy one from Yamaha...

I sent them an email this morning but haven't heard back yet. If they don't have it i'll ask for the CX 2000 remote, they might even offer it. Hopefully I hear from them soon.
