They look bigger than the Baby and smaller than the Legacy.
Based on my experience with a couple of pairs of the Legacy speakers that passed through here, they're not bad at all.
They have zero cachet, not being "real" Advents -- and the cabinets are somewhat cheezy
-- but they're really not bad. The dome tweeter just might be better than the classic Kloss-era Advent "fried egg" (which I realize is a heretical statement!).

Advent Prodigy ? Or something from the same line as the Baby Advent and the Graduate.

I'm thinking Advent Prodigy 2's after a little more research. I'm still holding out for some Dynaco A25/35's...just waiting to find them at the right price.
Yea, I'd hold out for something else, unless they're free.

The later Advents don't get much love but they are a decent speakers. I had a pair of A25s and was never really all that impressed by them, good speakers but nothing special. It could have been that I had Snell KIIs, DCM TF-350s and Polk Monitor 7s at the time and they just didn't get much playing time. The A25s did go to a loving home though.

I will waste the forum's bandwidth
to echo & underscore this comment. There's virtually zero interest in post-Henry Kloss "Advent" branded loudspeakers, but they're perfectly decent, easy to listen to loudspeakers. For the record, I am no big fan of the "OLA" (Original Large Advent) -- they're OK but soft-sounding to me and (just from my perspective, of course) overvalued on the market. The post-Kloss "Advents", consequently, go for short $. The OP's Advents in question may be a good deal if cheap. If not cheap, pass.(this is not the right forum to discuss valuation issues, but I hope the previous statement is OK here!)
I will say that for any of the loudspeakers branded "Advent" (be they real Advents or later iterations when the name was ultimately owned by - if memory serves - Jensen/Audiovox), replacement of the crossover capacitor with any decent modern capacitor (e.g., the "Dayton" branded crossover capacitors sold by PartsExpress) will considerably improve them audibly (IMO/IME).

Generic foam is absolutely appropriate for loudspeakers of this ilk, from my perspective.
These are definitely Advent Prodigy speakers. I have a set that I am looking to refoam, as they have been great speakers for my relatively small living room. They were good speakers for the money back in the day.
I have had a pair of these speakers for approximately 6 months. I identified the model as Legacy II from from the link that mhardy6647 provided. Here is a pic of one of mine as-bought.
I replaced the surrounds with a pair of generics off ebay ($7 with shipping). I have yet to install new crossover caps, though.
I have these sitting on 18" high speaker stands in a carpeted living room. As they are, these are very pleasant speakers. Bass response is strong, and they put out clear, smooth-sounding mid and high frequencies. I like them. Unlike some that I have had, no one will accuse these speakers of being tiring.
Please note that I find their response to be lacking at low, late-night volume levels. Raise the volume just a smidge to pre-kid's-bedtime level, however, and the woofer jumps to life and they sound very good. If I had to downsize to a single pair of speakers, they would be in the running, but I would want to use headphones for late-night listening. I probably should anyway. This particular criticism may be unique to my pair. I do not have experience with any other Advents that would permit me to judge.
I am not a fanboy for or against any era of Advents, nor do I worry much about resale value of equipment. I simply keep and use speakers that I like.
For perspective, once I swap in some new caps, I will have approximately $40 sunk into my pair. Though that is more than I am accustomed to spending, I am not unhappy with that amount for these speakers.

Sorry, I have the same speakers with the original Prodigy paperwork. The three screws around the tweeter are the giveaway: Legacy has four and the Prodigy has three. Another thing to check is the driver diameter; it's 10" for the Legacy and 8" for the Prodigy. The space between the bottom of the driver and wood trim is quite a bit smaller on the Prodigy as well, which results in a rather smaller speaker that does better on speaker stands like we both use.
There was also a narrower and taller Prodigy Tower I see around sometimes. These were similar in components but intended to be floor-standing without needing speaker stands.

I too am a big fan of Advents - and ones I like most are from these series - i.e. Legacy, Heritage, etc. They are very good sounding speakers. Re-caped they sound even better. I prefer these over some Infinity and Boston models that are far more popular. If in good condition - I always give them a chance. Most people I know that have them - keep them.
I've had a variety of Advents, original and later series. I suppose that a recap of the originals might have given me a different view, but I think that they are all quite good given size and price, and that the originals are not better than their replacements. I do think that theBullnose versions, original and new, look much nicer than the utility versions and the later Legacy/Prodigy/etc versions, and sound good.
