Thanks dialsweep. Yeah, that is what I've been hearing. Also heard the parts he uses are not good quality.
Can anyone tell me about HiFiAudio?

You're welcome, Paul - I rolled the dice on a kit for a more obscure unit back when I was starting out w/refurbing equipment, and not only was the documentation wrong in ways that a beginner could spot, he wouldn't send me the correct parts for the kit's incorrect ones. I was told the correct parts would be sent to me the next time I placed an order, which will be NEVER.

Wow. That really stinks. Those kits aren't cheap either.
In my experience, member @EastPoint (peace.love.and.music on ebay, store name Affinity for Artifacts) is trustworthy and sources his parts only from reliable suppliers. Highly recommended.

Yes, as I said in my post there are no fisher kits there. Only some old parts.

Stay clear from them, I got burned.. Almost half the caps where wrong for the Mcintosh Mac 4100 kit, they had me pay to send the wrong caps back. The 2nd shipment where still wrong. I tried working with this guy.. I started a complaint and he begged me to cancel the complaint and he would make it right.. I was stupid and nice and now I don't have the parts I need and Ebay wont let me open another complaint. I put in a review and they removed my text.. I'm trying to be a nice guy here.. but I screwed with this for 6 weeks..

Warning- rather coarse language ahead. I think it's justified.
"hifiaudio" is the same guy, who f**ked up badly enough under the eBay name "captainfantastic", that he had to ditch that name, and start over as "hifiaudio".
As "captainfantastic"- I ordered a pot for a Pilot integrated amp from him- four-gang. Got, and it was extremely poor quality. Intermittent operation from the get-go, and the sections were not matched very well with each other, as well.
I tried to get a replacement from him- and he basically said that because I installed it, that it had to be my fault.
Find out, I'm definitely not the only one. If you look up either user name on here, you'll find story after story about how people were victimized by this piece of $**t.
Definitely don't buy from him.
