Can I replace stk 0040 II with stk 0040?

I am working on an akai am uo3 amplifier and I need to replace the stk 0040 ii power amplifier ics but I can only find stk 0040. Are these fine to interchange?

Not the same design but in many cases it is possible to sub. I’d have to look at the Akai design in more detail to be certain.
Not too sure about the quality of the knock off stk these days so that is why we designed a discrete stk0050, check it out in the pioneer section under stk0050 for a sx-780

Not pin to pin compatible. The STK 0040II and STK 0040 are different circuits. Check the STK datasheets. You need to study the schematics and determine the changes needed to use one in place of the other.
