Has anyone created a translation list of the symbols used by Yamaha? There are many components that are called for that appear to be a "Mystery of the Universe"

Sorry to say I have discovered many more along this line.

I have a file of screen grabs of these legends on my computer. They seem to be pretty consistent.

What do you mean by "Mystery of the Universe"? Unidentifiable? Unobtainable?

I have tried to request this information with the component specifications:
I feel like I have been asking a Black Hole in deep space

Who manufactured this type of part?
What was the Series Number used by the manufacturer?
Anything such as a AllData spec sheet?
Photos of the device?
Who manufacturers a direct replacement part? Mouser or whoever stock number?
 
I have mentioned before that when I worked for Siemens in W. Germany that developed a written language that was English mixed with German. No one had an idea of what they were trying to get across.
When I worked for Toshiba they also developed a written language that was English mixed with Japanese. No one had an idea of what they were trying to get across.

Ah, engineers being engineers...

SBL = Styrene Butadiene Latex, sometimes called SBR
Cylindrical ceramic = axial ceramic (I believe)
MS = motor start (but I’d want to see that in context))
Metal Plate = replacement for wirewound. Forerunner to today’s cement and thick film resistors.

Do you have specific locations that you need replacement for? MS caps are frequently found in tape decks. If the MS cap is in a tuner, I may be misidentifying the part. Seeing it in circuit will help clarify.
