installed a new rat shack 4x1 switcher so now my 2 naks, the akai gx230d and the zenith dvd player (for cds) are routed thru the aphex 204 (switchable in/out) and then into one amp input channel.
all the multi channel sources have their own dedicated input channels.

and those 'special albums' they used to make, collectors stuff!!
AND....it's all recorded in ANALOG which has the real feeling to it (next to records) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on my 'new to me' denon dr-m10hx cassette deck, $4 at a local thrift.
got it home, cleaned it up, ditto for heads, demagged.
now playing, everything works and it sounds very nice!
even has led digital counter and meters; so it looks cool in the dark!

After over 20 years in various boxes my tapes and cds are finally on shelves! It has caused me to play cassettes a plenty. Last night I was playing 2 that bring back fond memories.
Don McMinn - Black Guitar
This is from the mid/late 80s when Don's band was the house band for the Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale St. in Memphis during the early days of the re-birth of Beale St. Great band on a great street!
Terry Edmunds - Givin' It Back
This is from late 80s/early 90s in Vancouver. Saw Terry in the Gaslight section (forgot the name of the place) and he kicked ass. Plenty of blues, but also covered Santana, Hendrix, etc. and I just kept saying to myself, "holy ****!" over and over. He was that good.

The first ever tape that i bought was Appetite, still my favourite album of all time. I have had copies of it in tape, CD, LP and in my Ipod.

Sounds interesting. I'm seeing a bio online that says that Givin' It Back was recorded at the Yale nightclub, and he runs a blues jam on the Vancouver Waterfront between June and September and gigs around at the local clubs.

cassette only releases aren't all nostalgia/vintage these days- there are many small distributors putting out cassette releases -- one such is Nu New Age tapes, aka www.nnatapes.com
there is quite a resurgence in interest in analog new age these days, and i love the idea of cassette distribution....cool stuff
