Citation II XFMR Paint Question . . .

I recently picked up a Citation II for restoration. The transformers look pretty beat.

What repainting solutions have folks tried successfully?

Sand all the rust out with 100 grit. work up to 500 grit. Prep wash,tack, spray non sanding epoxy primer,base/clear. Cut and buff for any trash. Good for 40+more years, For some reason no pics of my work will post right now. I have some pics of the last trans I did.

If you have access to the equipment, carefully mask off the leads to protect them and bead blast the old paint and rust off, then prime and repaint.
