Classic Luxman's

I have an L-430 as well. It's a really healthy, solid amp. Great sound too. It got bumped by the L-80V for the good looks in my system though. I'll rotate it back in, someday...

I have an R-1120 and it is one astoundng receiver. Excellent phono section and the tone controls are as smooth as I`ve run across, including the Mac 4100 I recently picked up. I`d say the tuner isn`t quite as good as others I have, but that isn`t a priority in my area. It sounds nice at low to medium listening levels, though I`ve tried turning the volume to clipping level and couldn`t do it (w/o ear protection). It kinda reminds me of owning a sports car and you aren`t sure if it has an actual redline or if you`re afraid to find out.

I had a L-430 for years. It's a very nice amp, and I wish I had hung onto it.

I like my R-1500, it's awesome for playing anything from dubstep to death metal on.. Gotta get better speakers though, now I'm using a pair of bose 301V speakers I got from a friend for free.

My L-430

That is quite a range!
I was cranking "Stiff Upper Lip" by AC/DC over the weekend (even old guys can get loud).

I know that old R1500 will sound amazing once you finish working on it.:music:

I have a nice little Lux sq700x that I need to get a picture of for this thread - seems hard to find out much about this little early 70s integrated amp.

I have a feeling it will, .. I'm curious about what this thing can do, since I wasn't around to listen when it was made :D
the guy who sold it didn't even know how to get it playing.. I gave 300kr (40 bucks!!) for it and man was I happy..

I'm running a full LRS setup (5c50/2x5m21/5F70/5E24/5T50) w a CZ-1 phono head amp. Have a few other pieces as well.

Love the classic Lux sound.

I actually just got one of these amps and I had two of the function lights out but never realized it had a volume light. it looks like mine won't be having that..there's some metal there but nothing that resembles a light, I wondered what it was.
