Same for me, do you knw where to look at ? Seems like 50V is required.
I got my L-430 lamps from AK member dgwojo. Very nice to deal with, and he gets you the right lamps.

I have a deep love of Luxman gear. I used to sell it, I own more of it than any other brand. But no it's not McIntosh. With regard to audio quality, much of Luxman's output is up to the McIntosh challenge, and though Lux is well built, it's not over built like McIntosh, they weren't as consistent and had a confusing number of variants of the same model.
Outside of the era when Alpine served as their evil overlords and some outsource bits, Luxman has produced outstanding gear.
Interestingly, I am also a huge fan of Ohm loudspeakers which I also see on your blog.

I was wondering if the late 80's Lux gear was when Alpine owned them. I had a Lux 430, and really liked it's looks as well as it's sound.
Recently obtained a Lux R-115, and getting a Lux R-117. It doesn't have the cool look of McIntosh, but the R-117 is considered one of the best receivers ever made.

I'll have to post a pic of my mostly receivers stack as soon as the ones I've loaned out to AK'ers return home.
1030, 1040, 1050, 1070, L-55A (silver, elegant)
117, 117, 115 (industrial but has it where it counts)
A few comments...
1040, 1050 more reliable than 1070.
1040 no center tuning meter, can't understand at that price point and 1978 it made no sense. (Except to trolls in some Marketing Dept?)
1070 concentric balance control :thumbsdn: pre-outs :thmbsp:
117 MC cart switch, 2 preouts, 160 WPC
115 easier to find, and the tuner is just as good as 117
Somewhere in the universe is a black hole filled with their remotes. :sigh:
Nice collection!
I've got a R-117, R-115, and R-114 in house.
The R-114 is a real sleeper (really nice sonically).
I still have the glossy ad-brochure for the R series but nothing in there regarding a R-114 do you know when that came out before or after the 117-115-113?
Also do you have the remotes?
Wrote about the classic Luxman L235 Integrated Amplifier.
Love these units!!

We are posting our Classic Luxman's on our Facebook page - Vintage Sound. Come and post yours too.
I have always had a sneeking love for Luxman. When I bought my C 05/M 05 set I knew exactly what it was and what it represented. No regrets. It cost something, but so does quality.
Funny enough, I met the former owners' neighbour (the Lux set I bought had only one owner) who works in the vintage shop I bought the set from. Turns out the owner was well off and the Lux set I have was lucky to get 5 hours of use a week when owned. And the guy died 12 years ago. SO the set truly has "little use". I am making up for that now.
If only gear was made to look, feel and sound like this today. I cannot believe how lucky, fortunate and blessed I am to own this set. It truly is an audiophile dream. My music has never sounded better.
If a Luxman only forum was started I would heartedly be a part of it. Granted, it might make Lux gear more expensive if only others knew how good it really is.
Do I need to connecet preamp out to main amp in for normal operation?
HI All nice pics and wordsI have a nice little Lux sq700x that I need to get a picture of for this thread - seems hard to find out much about this little early 70s integrated amp.
