Commercials You Hate

Well, this has been a mostly amusing thread. Since I have little to do until FedEx finally delivers my Mouser order I actually took an hour and a half and read the entire thread.

I learned a lot about a lot of products I never knew existed and services that I had forgotten about.
It made me sad to see things degenerate to bickering between members in 2022.

It made me very happy that I stopped watching television well over 20 years ago.
I also learned that a lot of members have their underwear pulled up very tight into their crack over this issue. My best and heartfelt advise is...don't do it!

Cheers,
James

We have a local "personal injury" lawyer that has the vamp section from Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone" playing in the background of at least two different commercials.

I bet a lot of people don't notice, but if you pay attention, it's clearly that part of that song.

I wonder if he is paying royalties.

All these years the shampoo I've used on top has worked just as well on the other places as well, , , , , a solution lookin for a problem, methinks.... :rflmao:
For well over 45 yrs. the use of low leftover residual Dial brand bar soap has served me quite well for all my body`s parts washing needs, with the exception of my using a quality hair shampoo for my head`s hair !

The more I read any of this thread`s postings, the more I`m very grateful that I`m glad that I turned my back on "all externally sourced" commercial TV since 2010 !

Those commercials that say they can save me $200 a year off my phone bill.

Trust me, I'd love to save $200 off my $320 a year bill, but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen.

...and I just heard one as I was driving to lunch and thought "this one belongs in the thread", but I must have subconsciously blocked it because now I cant remember what it was.

I think that MagicJack actually works and saves money from what I’ve heard. Don’t take my word for it because I haven’t used it, but maybe you can start another thread to get feedback from those that have used it. My brother has had MagicJack for years, but he barely uses that landline number, so I don’t if his experience is as meaningful as somebody who uses it actively.
