Nice snapshot of the early days of Belew's meteoric rise in the music business. He was a man in demand, and went from playing in a cover band to playing with Zappa, Bowie, Talking Heads, then fronting King Crimson for decades. How badass is that? What a musician.

Me too! In Kansas City 6/9/90.

I had no idea Belew was in the band when I went, but I could tell it was him just from the sound of the guitar in the first song--and then I was REALLY pumped!

Rated my #4 Best Concert I Ever Saw. Excellent survey of Bowie's career to that point--it was supposed to be the last time he was going to play many of the songs from his old catalog live; I have no idea as to whether or not he has followed through with that.
