I'd use something meant to damp vibrations like Dynamat.
And back to specs i believe i came. Absolutte no play in the bearings/arm.
All in all a pretty easy job, or thats what i feel now. 4 weeks ago i was not so confident
Next job on the tt is the foam in the platter.
I will have to wait. Now i’m using the next days to listen to music. Damn that DP75 is a nice tt

As Mark (Aerobat) states above, he will be using Dynamat in the platter and between the lower motor housing and case in my DP-80. I bought a 24"x12" piece with a sticky back, so will cut to size and put as many layers in as needed. Was about $19 on Amazon.
Am thinking I may order another piece of Dynamat and cut to fit 360 degrees between the lip of the DP-80 and the plinth.

Did these come from Denon (or where)?At last the postman came with my new bearings from Japan. Now i’m ready to get this DA-308 back to specs

I got them from eBay. $15 a pcs. I’ll try to see if i can opload pic from my phone. No pc currently.
On top left is new parts. The next 2 is dead bearings with lots of dirt/stuff.
You can see if it is maintaining proper speed. Two pots inside can be adjusted if needed.
The DP80 has a dial on the outside also.
My DP-80 drifts a bit in variable but locks nicely in fixed.
Edit: Since the original post my DP-80 has been recapped and the adjustment pot spritzed and it is now as steady in variable as it is in quartz-locked. Very nice.

I like my DK-300. Had it veneered in black walnut (by a pro) and think it looks great. I use IsoAcoustic pucks under each corner and it is pretty much immune to feedback. Very pleased with mine.
Had a couple of extra armboards made. Pretty simple to have done. Just have to figure out what the next TA might be.

If the same as the DP-80 the template is available in the library of the Vinyl Engine.

Yes, I've seen this template. But there are no dimensions. I don’t understand how to use this template. Probably need to print A3 or A2...

Two more you can append to your list are DK110 and the expansive DK2000 (multi arm capable). Limited availability can impact selection. I believe the 300 was based on a more exotic wood species, making it more sought after but also more expensive. Quality across the board though for all of them is very high, going by the fit and finish (and heft) of my DK110 which is first class. So IMO really cant go wrong with any of them. Just make sure you have a lot of shelf space available, they are beasts! (ref thumbnail)
I printed and then measured the large diameter dimension and compared to the actual DP-80 dimension. I then scaled my printer's enlargement feature to get it to print the correct size. As my printer is only able to print letter or legal paper I had to print on 2 sheets and tape together. After all the calc's and work I found a DK-300 with perfect dust-cover & hinges, so was all for naught.
Definitely cannot go wrong with a DP-80.
Legrace - very nice. What mat is that on your DP-80? My set-up looks similar to yours (Dual 701 & DP-80 in a DK-300 for me).
