Deoxit question

Can anyone tell me the difference between deoxit d100 and d5s6? Never used it before and don't know which one to get. The d100 is 19.99 and the d5s6 is 14.99 so there must be a difference. Thanks

The basic difference is D100 is uncut deoxit and comes in a needle dropper bottle. The D5 is 5% deoxit and is cut with various stuff like naptha. It comes in a aerosol spray bottle. I like the D100 personally.

Apparently the D100 is pure Deoxit compound (whatever it is), the D5 is a 5% solution & comes in fast or slow evaporating versions. D5 is the general purpose stuff for cleaning pots etc.

DeoxIT D5S-6 & D100S-2 have the same cleaning formulation. Here are the difference between the two:
1. D5S-6 is diluted with solvent, therefore it will provide flushing action. D100S-2 is not diluted with solvent.
2. D100S-2 is 100% solution, therefore it will give more lubrication than D5S-6.
3. We usually recommend D100S-2 for vintage equipment because it is safer to use because no solvent (for older plastic parts).
