Ahhhhh....I am going to say thumbs up! :thmbsp:
Bass is thicker, that's for sure. High end is cleaner...a lot cleaner.
I was running a JICO HE110 on an RXT5 and that combo sounded good too, but this IS better.
Everyone says it blossoms after about 50 hours, so I am hoping it will give more and more as it breaks in.
Also...surface noise is very low. I was worried I would have more but I don't think so.
Hearing subtle stuff not noticed before on recordings I am _very_ familiar with.

G'day mate, nice comments. :thmbsp: Yes the Jico SAS stylus for the M97xE is top notch. :yes:
It has a very 'precise' sound revealing a lot of extra detail and certainly has a wonderfully extended treble end, unlike the standard Shure elliptical (at 47 k loading). Regards, Felix aka catman.

I thought about you today...as I stood in line to retrieve my SAS - I was behind a fellow with a package addressed to "New South Wales, Australia".
I am giving the SAS a go on the RXT5, on the Harman Kardon T-25 (with Van Alstine mods).
Less bass in this cart, but high end is sublime. This arm always exhibits less surface noise and it held true with the SAS stylus.

Took them a couple of weeks to produce the stylus and another week or so for it to arrive.
Got email updates, and transaction went perfectly smooth.
Just wish I had ordered one years ago

The JICO SAS seems like an expensive upgrade for a cart that is very reasonably priced to start with.
But, there is lots of musical detail stored in your record grooves that the stock stylus is not presenting to you, for your enjoyment.
It's worth it. A major "system upgrade".

So how does it give cleaner highs at the same time less surface noise. Sounds like magic. Did you have to send a lock of hair from a loved one with your payment or chant something before installing it?

I'm no expert, but the diamond profile on the SAS is smaller than a "line contact" stylus. So maybe it rides deeper in the groove, where nothing has been before?
It sure does pick up a lot of gunk.
I can see many of my LP's need a better cleaning than I had been giving them.

I've used SAS styli in M-110HE's,V-15-IV's.V-15-V's,Ultra 500 and SC-35C's so far. Some of these have been installed in Rega RB-300's ,SME III (with and without dampening employed ,SME 3009 s-2 improved , stock SL-1200 arm with and without dampening ,SL-7 Technics and a Denon DP-61F. While the SAS doesn't make damage disappear (sadly) - on a lot of pretty noisy LP's - I hear less racket from the SAS equipped carts ? The conjecture that we're ridding a little lower on the groove wall may be the reason - but whatever the mechanism - it's a nice bonus to a already superior product's performance.

Which stylus was this? I haven't seen a SAS offerred for the M110HE. I have a V15-III SAS and love it.
odd situation
I've noticed that some JICO SAS's are only available direct from JICO ( Shure SC35C) and some are not available from JICO - but their distributors may have it (M-110HE from Alex Atalier) . This may be a case of old stock or simply decisions by various importers to not bother with stylus models they don't think are going to be "sellers" ?
