Dual 1019

I just picked up a Dual 1019 in a Walnut Plinth. I want to protect the wood plinth and feed the wood as it seems to begin drying out. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what products to use. Thanks

another alternative would be minwax antique oil finish or watco, both of which wipe on wipe off, and would certainly rejuvinate the wood leaving a nice rich lustre, i personally reserve the use of urethane to items that would see wear, moisture etc maybe get a small amount of both and try on the bottom edge to compare or inside a little if its finished there

Go get some oil finish rejuvinator at any grocery or department store. Quick, easy, works great.

Any form of wood oil will give it the moisture it needs. Tung oil, applied with 000 steel wool will get into the grain and keep much longer than other oils. The best part about oils is that when the wood has had enough, it will sit on the surface and just wipe off.

I second the Tung oil recommendation as the best choice but any good oil made for wood will improve things - even Olde English. Tung oil will last longer.

Go to the grocery store and get a $5.00 yellow round tin of original Johnson's Paste Wax. Work it into the grain (with the grain) with 0000 steel wool. Let dry and buff with a terry cloth towel. Little work, and superior results.
