Just purchased a Dual CS-5000 here in Saskatoon. In awsum condition. Can anybody give me any good information about the CS-5000 that maybe I should know. Thanks

I have a Dual CS 5000 (natural wood finish plinth), awesome table. I tend to prefer manual tables, but the auto-lift/auto-stop feature of the Dual is convenient. If you have the stock headshell, the VTA is on the headshell itself, so it can be a bit tricky to set. If you have the opportunity, grab a spare headshell. Once you mount/align the cart, you can swap headshells in a matter of minutes to swap carts. Also, the CS 5000 is virtually identical to the CS 7000 "Golden One", so parts are interchangeable, and the CS 7000 was also sold with a flat (non-VTA) carbon fiber headshell.

Nice! I have one. There are a few flaws like the caps in the power supply, if those are stock, please replace them or sooner or later you will have issues with fluctuations in speed or not getting at the desired RPMs.
Also the internals of the anti skating mechanism are made of brittle plastic so be careful when handling.
Once set up correctly it is a very sweet sounding turntable.
