The wiring inside mine is all brown and I'm not sure which terminals to jump to make 8 ohm. Not even sure which one is the common terminal.

i believe the wires connect from out side terminal to the x8 box then goes from there to both the woofer and x36 box. form the x36 to the trim pots then to either the mid horn or tweeter. i am willing to bet that terminal was added on by a previous owner.

Just looking at the second pic that you posted, does it appear to anyone else that this this may be wired for tri-amping? Note the grey wire running from the mid horn to (I assume) the terminal on the back panel. The brown wire from the woofer going to the same place? There's another brown wire running from the tweeter to the area of the trim pot and then down to the rear terminal. I could be totally wrong here, but it doesn't appear that the x-overs are being utilized. Don't you find it interesting that the rear has 6 terminals?

Dave, you might be on to something. My photos weren't very helpful so here is one of the wiring to the terminal. Not sure if I should start trying them in pairs and hear what I get??

Sam, these were likely kit-built are therefore are not color coded to factory specs.

has anyone noticed the wiring is different in fig 2, model 114b opposed to the last wiring diagram shown just prior to the raw components.
In the first version the wires go from terminal to the the x8 cross over. The x8 is connected to the tweeter and the x36. the x36 is then connected to the woofer and mid.
In the 2nd version the wires go from terminal to the x36. The x36 is connected to the woofer and the x8. the x8 then is connected to the tweeter and mid.
Any idea why they are different ??

I'm starting to think I need to re-wire them according to the block diagram for the 114A. Hmmm.
I'd love to find a mate so I can hear the Regency properly. This could be the start of a long term search...

Typo perhaps? I *think* that diagram in Fig. 2 is for the 116b. The latter diagram looks more correct to my (untrained) eyes.

Someone has probably already answered the initial question about the EV Regency speaker terminals. In case not, here's the deal:Sadly, I only got one. Here are the photos.
The speaker terminal is confusing to me. Which two should I use?
GENERALLY at the lower center back wall of the cabinet, there is a hole. Two wires come out of it. One is hot. The other ground. Hey, I have no idea if this is consistent but generally I have found the right to be signal and left ground. Anyway, these wires are wrapped around two small flathead type bolts. There are also two more small identical looking bolts close directly below these. Now even though you will not be able to see it. The two on the left and the two on the right are connected. And the idea is that you hook the amp to the two bottom small bolts.
You can verify this by testing their DC resistance. The two left will be 0 ohms. The two right will be 0 Ohms. The right top or bottom to the left top or bottom will all be the DC resistance of the woofer, generally about 15 Ohms with the woofers used with this Regency cabinet.
