Electronic music for great listening

Yeah, Tomita.

My friends back in the seventies thought I was weird for liking him but I didn't care.

Been enjoying an oldie lately. Manuel Gottsching, "E2-E4". Amazing houl long piece recorded in 1980 by Gottsching (alone) in 2 hours. IMO, fantastic music to do other things with.

Some great music mentioned here.
I only saw one person mention the Propellerheads especially since they make alot of the sound software everyone uses nowadays. There sampling/ timing and building are phenominal. (think james bond theme meets techno)
The Swedish company behind Rebirth and Reason is something different as the UK band The Propellerheads eh. ;)

Also a dancefloor track, but I love just listening to it;

Alex Under - El Encuentro

And some more;

I-F - The Wanderer
Theo Parrish - When I'm Gone

Something recent that blew my mind when I heard it was Joris Voorn - Balance 014.

It's two CD's and about 2 hours of music mixed from over 100 different tracks. It's absolutely seamless and wonderfully done. It's a bit more downtempo than some of his earlier stuff. I'd say it's last decades Endtroducing.... (which was one of my favourite records of the 90's)

Robert Hood - Escapes
Robert Hood - The Plague
Robert Hood - Untitled 2 (Monobox EP)

Nick Holder - Black Jazz (You're Gonna Love Me)
Kenny Larkin, Shlomi Aber - Sketches (Shlomi Aber version)
Guy Gerber, Luciano - Arcenciel
I-F - The Wanderer
James Ruskin - The Outsider (Luke Slater's ME remix)
James T. Cotton - Lojak Pt. 4

Jean Yves-Labat: M Frog A rather unusual album with Todd Rundgren, Richard Danko. "We are Crazy" is a lost classic imho...great synth solo.

Klaus Schulze: Dig It The CD reissue comes with a dvd of a great concert accompanied by a steel factory in Linz.

Amazing thread! I can't believe someone mentioned Foetus!!! Awesome!

There is one HUGE omission. All of the incarnations of Uwe Schmidt especially Lassigue Bendthaus. There are far too many for me to list them all. Look here:

Has anyone checked out his remix of Tom Tom Club's "Genious of Love"? Fantastic!

P.s; Youtube, not the best sq, but at least it can give you an idea. I also listened to a lot of Sleeparchive and Monolake this morning, but the postings on youtube don't serve the music right imo.
