A triode would be kind of cool. I spent some time in college trying to decide what kind of tattoo to get but never did settle on something that I would want to live with for the rest of my life!

That I can understand and appreciate. I'd probably do the same if it were mine; I might even put the logo/label on the inside. (A good analogy would be clothing labels; I don't like wearing a brand on the outside of my clothes. They didn't pay me to advertise, did they?! But I've seen a lot of ridiculous behavior like that from newly-rich Mainland Chinese, like leaving the store price tags and labels attached and hanging to things!) But in your case, I think the logo looks quite good and not ostentatious, so leave it on the outside. Besides, with all the care and attention you put into making these things, you've certainly earned the right to put your own brand on them!

I went through exactly that mental process when I first saw the pic. I thought, "Oh, he missed one! How uncharacteristic of such fine work!" and then about a second later I thought, "Oh, D'oh! He HAD too... the ground has to be grounded somewhere, and it's a lot easier to attach a wire cleanly and securely to a hole, than to a blob of solder!" LOL

Nice work Nate! I especially like the red "dB", I saw what you did there.
Not sure how I ended up with the S&Bs - I saw them listed for what I thought was a good price and I jumped! I've owned them before, yes. And they are truly beautiful sounding volume controls. So are the Slagles...I musta missed this. Cool bits, do the kids worry about college?
I guess I just like makin' stuff. The S&Bs I had before were already built up by someone else. This time, I get the satisfaction of building it myself... and if it sounds good at the end of the day, then all the better!

I'm really fascinated.
I stared with bicycles, maintenance, suspension work -- then more detailed with wheel building and frame "creation" whether lugged steel or well thought out composites.
audio electronics interests me like bikes for some reason. your work is not so complex that it overwhelms, but the detail is artistic.
