A skunk was hit and killed by a car. The car's licence plate struck him square on the nose. A rabbit witnessed this unfortunate event, shook his head and said, "Dead Scenter!"

Jeanine was a very cheerful young lady. When her mother asked the doctor how she could have such a shiny personality, he replied "It's in her chrome-o-somes. So, Mom asked why Jeanine's brother wasn't so happy. The dr said "He's got blue genes."

Ethel Merman was a Broadway star well known for her overpowering voice. It was so strong that few vocal groups wanted to sing with her. Once she had the means, she went out and hired similarly strong singers to form a group. They started out rehearsing at a favorite restaurant, where they would sing a capella and keep time by banging on the table.

They never were a commercial success, but became known as the Merman Table-Nocker Choir.
