Despite they paint, I bet they work just fine.

Beat them down on the price for messing them up and have a rock party in the garage. A couple hours of booming classic rock will loosen them up.

Those are beat...bad. I would still pick them up though...just sell off the crossovers and midranges to make some profit. Maybe try to clean up the boxes etc it would be a fun project for sure(and a long one!)

For Posterior! It does look like the woofer on the right has a trashed cone- so really he only ruined the good remaining parts! I temper my frustration at these sort of actions by thinking that he just made all of the surviving L100 a little more valuable...:sigh:

Who cares if they have black paint on 'em? The guts are there and that's what is important. You could strip the paint off and make the veneer shine again. Not a big deal, really.

Right, no way to strip off the black from the woofer aquaplas, or the mid Orr tweeter. For some, the tweeter might sound better with the black paint though.

There was a thread a few years back about painting drivers and I'm pretty sure it came out that the paint really doesn't have a huge effect on the cones, but could affect the surrounds, which is why I suggested the rock party to break them in.

Still, they'd be tough to sell, but you should use that as a lever if you wanted to buy them and beat him down on price.
