I.M.Fried did encounter some bad luck. The companies he used to source his drivers from kept going out of business.
Dalesford, Transparent Sound, Carboneau and Gefco are examples of this.
Phase technology sourced some of the drivers for his lower priced models.
The C2 and O2 use foam for the damping material as did all his designs.
Some of his many writings do help one to better understand his design philosophy.
The Audio Concepts 1038 woofer also performed well in the O2 enclosures.
I know it is no longer available. The Meniscus Eclipse W1038R is suppose to be a drop in replacement. There are 2 different spec sheets on this driver that do not coincide?
