Graphic Equalizer Connection

I recently picked up some Kenwood basic gear.

I was wondering how I should wire the Equalizer into my setup to get the best end product? I mainly play LPs on my system.

tape ouputs on preamp to input on eq, output on eq to tape input on pre. Engage the tape monitoring switch.
