Hafler dh-220

Save your self a head ache. Get a 1 ohm resistor, remove the fuse and use clip leads to connect the 1 ohm resistor to the fuse connector. Then voltage across gets current. (1 mV = 1 mA) no worrying about meter settings or blowing those expensive meter fuses.

There's no headache to just read the current.

I like to use the two meters at once. The right channel I accidently hooked up backwards no biggie, just ignore the minus sign. Don't forget the dc offset and a little back and forth.

I have blown fuses I soldered leads onto to clip my grabber leads on, making is slicker than snot on a doorknob. :D Not to mention almost eliminating the chances of "slippage" and shorting anything out with alligator clips.

I have blown fuses
Where on earth did you get those?

When I bought my MG-IIIa speakers from CL in Balto, I contacted a college roommate that had Magneplanar MG-II and told him to buy some stock in Littlefuse of Buss fuse. Yes, I did go through a few as I was finding out how loud different amps would play those speakers. Not adding to the pile like I used to but have a candy bowl on the bench for em. I guess a couple lamps made it in that pile.

Yeah, those little "dishes" (or whatever junk container) tend to accumulate pretty much everything after a while. Batteries, bulbs, snibblets, etc. They're just so "handy" to have around. :p
