There was a DIY turntable built by someone in Europe name Altman (or maybe Altmaan) that used a Harley valve as as part of the bearing, if I recall correctly. The platter was plywood.

Perfect for the game room. Why have a plaque when you can have this. I can hear Bob Seeger just looking at it. Too good to be real, is that an actual turntable?

Most of Harley's are belt drive. Not sure about the Pan America or the 500, 750's, probable chain.

Check it out...Used to be very low cost, accident coverage...

The Harley tt doesn't even have speed adjustments. Plus, no 78 rpm...Then, the tonearm is only 8.6 inches, pivot to stylus.
The longer the tonearm, the shallower the tracing arc, providing lower distortion at the inner grooves.
I guess the artistic design is more important than the cost of better performance...

And, no sound effects...like a vroom, splat, vroom...

Unlike auto insurance, motorcycle insurance isn't even mandatory in some states.


My take (and I'm motorcyclist)- if you get hit on a motorcycle...you probably want to die.
