I prefer riding my TECHNICS SL1200-G : certainly better performances that the Harley Pro-Ject !

Motorcycles was my Father's story... Not for me.

As for noisy engines, I much prefer Detroit Diesel 2 stroke, aka Screaming Jimmy. Or good old Jet noise!

This might have gone over last week in Ocean City MD as it was Bike Week with thousands of Harleys roaring at all times of the day and night. Awesome scene.

Me and a buddy would go to OC on our bikes for the weekend, before the Evo came out early 80's. That place was a zoo back then. Great memories of the old school biker days.

I was told that my 2004 Honda RC51 -1,000cc 90 degree V-twin with Sato titanium Banzai pipes- sounded like a combination of a P51 and an offshore racing boat when it was at its 10,000rpm full song.

You should hear my '04 Aprilia Tuono pulling hard in 3rd-4th exiting a corner at 11K. Went riding with a group and at a rest stop one of the guys said "damn that thing is loud!" His buddy said "yeah but it is a glorious noise." Used to have an XR750 Harley that was the best sound I've ever heard come from any motorcycle anywhere. Man that thing took some work to keep running well. One highly stressed little pushrod engine.

Noisiest engine I own is my little 3 cylinder Kubota diesel in my BX tractor. No louder than any other diesel but nothing to contain it.
